Mr. Pramod Jain, Astt.Director, CSSDA, provided an overview of RLC. Over the past 18 months, OPJCC Punjipathra has collaborated with Raigarh District in offering government-approved vocational training courses to hundred of youths in construction and service trades such as masonry, formwork and traditional carpentry, air condition repair, fitter, welding among other courses. In April 2015, CM CG Dr. R. Singh graced the launch of RLC, a residential college for women in Raigarh City, the first of its kind in the state. OPJCC was named the official training partner of RLC through a competitive process in February 2015

Mr. Bora's interactive session lasted over 45 minutes and was well received by students. He talked about the importance of skilling for employment coupled with awareness of Indian traditions and values like Vastu. He offered many practical examples and was pleased with students' progress in the three current, residential courses titled Front Office cum Front Office Reception, Household Services, and Security Guard, motivating them to do their best as they are "role models for the society". He highlighted grooming and soft skills such as developing proficiency in listening, observation, and speaking. Mr. Bora, an eloquent and passionate speaker, effectively engaged the group of over 100 persons when he asked them about their existing skills like singing, dancing, poetry writing, and cooking. He further discussed harassment at work, home, and other situations the young women would face in the workplace. He asked them to be patient, vigilant, and courageous in facing life and work situations, and applauded the efforts of OPJCC in providing comprehensive skills training to prepare job-ready pass outs. Over 76% of the first all-women's RLC batch of students have been placed in local companies as well as in Raipur. RLC is an extension of OPJCC's successful, award-winning "Aparajita" programmes for empowering rural women through skills development
